With scores of loyal clients plus popular fitness classes at Shred415 and soon to be Flywheel Sports in Chicago, Gideon Akande is always on the go. Along with his individualized training sessions, bootcamps, and high-intensity classes—one of which was recognized by Men’s Book Chicago as one of Chicago’s toughest workouts—Gideon is a true ambassador for fitness and health, speaking regularly at corporate and educational events. He pushes himself as hard as he pushes his clients: Gideon holds football records at his alma mater, the College of the Holy Cross, and he became a Chicago Golden Gloves boxing champion in 2013. A certified running coach and fitness trainer, Dave works with athletes of all levels from novice to Olympic and professional.  His holistic approach includes a focus on strength, flexibility, mindset and nutrition as part of a comprehensive program designed to help athletes reach their goals in a healthy and balanced way. 

Dave heads up the development of corporate programs at Souls In Motion, a new and innovative corporate wellness benefit around running and walking for companies of all sizes.  

Dave also heads up the development of training programs for the Biggest Loser RunWalk, a national race series and part of the NBC reality TV series The Biggest Loser.

Tony Rivera

Health Coach

Tony is a certified personal trainer working out of Logan Square and specializing in individual and group training. Other specialities include run coaching and planning, boxing for fitness and functional movement training. He is eager to help and is knowledgeable in several areas of health and fitness.  Tony is very excited to be a part of this absolutely wonderful project and wishes everyone the best of luck! Mandi Roberts, 

Certified Personal Trainer and Competitor

Mandi Roberts is a certified personal trainer, NPC bikini competitor and professional dancer/choreographer. She fell in love with the body and the way it moves as a dancer and has retained this passion for molding and sculpting bodies as well as developed a new passion for overall wellness. As an NPC competitior, she knows what kind of hard work it takes to make changes in the body and the discipline it takes to follow a program as well as design specific exercise and nutrition programs. She sets an example for her clients with her own training, as she expects hard work and commitment from both them and herself. Mandi believes in goal setting, dynamic exercise programming, and that every day should be a new challenge and another step towards your health and fitness goals.

I have been living an active lifestyle my whole life! Active in soccer from a young age, soccer in college, and onto firefighting after college! I have always been very passionate about helping people live a healthier lifestyle that is why I continue to live one! I took that passion, after my Wildland Firefighting career, and used it to teach others how to live the same! I started my own In-Home Personal Training business, called Pelzfit, and I also help people start their own health and wellness business! By changing your mindset you are motivated to change your life!

 

Being a trainer for the past 7 years, my passion has always been to help others see their true potential and learn healthy lifestyle habits. I use functional, interval-based training to design personalized programs to meet my clients needs and fitness goals. My training style is fun, personal, 

holistic and results driven. Whether it be weight loss, sport specific, nutrition or overall wellness, we will have fun and create the discipline and change needed for you to achieve your goals.

Melissa is a Certified Personal Trainer and Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200). Voted “Best Personal Trainer” in the 2013 Chicago Reader Annual Poll and a global finalist in Life Fitness Personal Trainer to Watch contest, Melissa trains and instructs fitness and yoga classes throughout Chicago. She a proud member and assistant coach at CrossFit Chicago. Melissa works with people from all ages and backgrounds and aims to inspire her clients to understand, accept, and appreciate their bodies and minds. Sergio Rojas

Sergio has over 16 years experience as a fitness professional, working as a fitness trainer, movement and post-rehab specialist, educator, strength coach, and facility director.  As a fitness trainer and movement/rehab specialist, he has worked with professional and youth athletes, celebrities, and top executives.  Additionally, Sergio has developed fitness and wellness programs for various corporations, as well as for many community organizations.  He is a certified Fellow of Applied Functional Science from the Gray Institutes a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist, and a Certified Nutrition Specialist.

Sergio owns Infinite Motion Fitness and ImFIT Wellness, with its location in downtown Chicagoand is a fitness expert for NBC5 news in Chicago, as well as a regular contributor for Men’s Fitness Magazine.

In addition to being the former Strength & Conditioning Coach for the WNBA’s Chicago Sky, Sergio is also the former Executive Director of the President’s Council on Fitness & Sports.

Certified Yoga Instructor, Professional Dancer, Group Fitness Instructor

Danielle is a Certified Yoga Instructor through Yoga Alliance (200 Hour). She teaches private and group instruction with Elate Yoga, Edgewater Athletic Club, Fitness Formula Club, Flirty Girl Fitness, and The University Club . Danielle holds a B.A. in Dance from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA, and has been dancing professionally in Chicago for the past six years with Thodos Dance Chicago, Chicago Repertory Ballet, and LEVELdance. Danielle works with people of all ages and encourages her students to listen to their own bodies, while promoting healthy body wellness.
