Walk It Off
Walking is an easy, do-anywhere form of exercise. You can walk your dog. You can walk to work (well, not really if it’s more than a few miles away from home). You can walk over to the printer. You can walk on a treadmill. Walking is the American Heart Association’s recommened way to start an exercise program.
If you're looking to lose more than 50 pounds, you should walk two hours each day. I know, this seems impossible, but take heart; you don’t have to do it all at once. You can break your walking up into smaller, doable time chunks every day. The key is to get in two hours of walking a day. Thirty minutes in the morning and evening as well as 10 minutes before or after each meal = 2 hours easy!
